Belleek Castle ~ Christina and Ross

July 05th. 2017 | Leave a comment

“We do not want merely to see beauty… we want something else which can hardly be put into words- to be united with the beauty we see, to pass into it, to receive it into ourselves, to bathe in it, to become part of it. That is why we have peopled air and earth and water with gods and goddesses, and nymphs and elves.” ― C.S. Lewis   Christina and Ross are a hilarious, full of life, massively giving, loyal and funny couple. Looking back over the laugh out loud emails on the lead up to their wedding in Balleek Castle, their love of the out doors can clearly be seen. Christina and Ross (a rogue of an irish man if ever there was) chose to come to Ireland to…View Full Post.

The Armada ~ Chloe and Thomas

March 25th. 2017 | 1 Comment

Chloe and Thomas wedding was such a pleasure to capture. It was a wedding brimming over with love and laughter. When we arrived the Armada was a hive of activity with Chloe and Thomass family running about the place with bales of hay and ribbons, not usually what you expect to see in this hotel. We wandered into the function room to find it totally transformed for the couples ceremony later that afternoon. Closes mum has an unbelievable eye for detail and she was making darn sure that everything would be perfect for her little girl. Speaking of little girls, the couples daughter Alana totally stole the show! It became a struggle to do our job and not sit on the floor and play games with this rascal. I guess…View Full Post.

Awh Emma and Stephen!!! This couple are the definition of adorable. Stephen is a gentleman but a total messer, Emma is a lady through and through and has her mischievous side too! We met this couple when shooting Rachael and Anthonys wedding a few years back in France. We were delighted when they asked us to capture they day. Stephen arrived one day for tea and what we thought was an informal chit chat to see if they wanted us as their photographers. Turns out minds had been made up before he walked through the door. I don’t think we had a choice in the matter. Emma had said that she would be staying in a B&B the night before, explaining that its not every day you get married or have…View Full Post.

Dunraven Arms ~ Eilbhe and Jamie

February 17th. 2017 | Leave a comment

This was one cracker of a wedding. We knew from word go that we would be the photographers and Eilbhe and Jamie didn’t have a choice in the matter. Eilbhe sister is a friend and  long time loyal follower of all things Poppiesandme. Lisa ignored gentle protests that Eilbhe may not want us as their photographers. Thankfully when met Eilbhe and Jamie who had flown over from the UK for the weekend we couldn’t help but fall in love with their enthusiasm for their day. It was a match made in heaven! What we adored about the pair was their view point on their wedding. While it would have of the traditional elements… as in Eilbhe would be in a dress and Jamie in his Kilt, there would be a church,…View Full Post.

A Windy Cliff Walk

January 24th. 2017 | 3 Comments

Its been little over a year since the wonderful Jen and Derek took us to the Cliffs of Moher for a windy cliff walk. We met in the bustling cafe of Joes in Lahinch and chatted about their up coming wedding in Doonbeg, all the time hands snuggled around large cups of tea and coffee while the wind and rain howled outside. Eventually we could hide no more and decided to brace ourselves against the winter chill and  create some beautiful memories together. Of course we knew in our hearts this would be just beautiful, isn’t Ireland at her loveliest when she is in the middle of tantrum other wise known as winter! It was late afternoon and as the light dropped so did the temperature and Derek said it…View Full Post.
