A few weeks ago we drove to Wexford to meet up with the lovely Wendy and Peter, who asked us to be apart of their wedding later this year. As this lovely pair live in the Scotland we said we would catch up with them next time they were here for a holibob. What a fantastic evening it was. We walked the grounds of the beautiful Johnstown Castle, went for a bite to eat in the fabulous Wexford town and then out to Curracloe beach to take in the last of the sunshine. Roll on the wedding, and more hilarious chats of lego, gin and subcrawls!!!

I am only sorry there was not time enough before now to share with you this fiery Connemara wedding. Our lovely pair Cormac and Sue chose the amazing location of Renvyle House to celebrate. Renvyle is a slice of heaven on earth, its beaches are made of dreams. As it was late in the year the surrounding hills and bogs of Tullyglass glowed warmly in shades of pumpkin and earthy crimson. The textures of the soft tall grasses and the crisp gorse with their fading coconut sent, against the tawny back drop were incredible. At the time I thought how wonderful to be wrapped up in a blanket of such proper Irish magic on your wedding day.

I loved them. I loved this lady for asking us to do something different. I loved that we were having this top secret conversation on a magical volcanic island. I loved that no one knew! So the day after the wedding we pulled up to their hotel in our tiny rental car and kidnapped Sara and Tony for one lazy afternoon. It was beautiful. They were beautiful. So much so that it wasn’t a trash the dress, it was a rock that frock!

Oh bring us back to what was the best week of last year!!! Sara and Tony flew us out to the stunning volcanic island of Lanzarote to capture their wonderful intimate wedding. It was nothing short of a week of love and giggles! We met up with the couple an evening or two before the wedding. We sat on giant cushions surrounded by Moroccan lanterns watching the sun dance over the sea. We sipped on cocktails and chatted about the days that were to follow.

Kate and Sean are the kind of people you meet and think, “How did I live the past few decades without them in my life!?” We really didn’t know them at all. In fact, the first moment we met was the night before the wedding. We were coming from California and I was nervous about all the hundreds of things that could go wrong. But when I met Kate and Sean I remember thinking, “Phew… I bet the photos will be amazing if nothing else goes right!” And I was right. The morning of the wedding, the weather was awful. Wind and rain like you couldn’t imagine. So naturally I was bummed that there would be no great outdoor photos. However, the morning getting ready and hanging out was still…View Full Post.

Jeepers, where to start on this blog post? I guess the most frequently asked questioned was ” Why renew your vows? Was once not enough?” I used to laugh this off and reply “Shure, there are no rules when it comes to love!” Inside however, the answer begged to yelled out, quite frankly no, once was not enough, nor was it all it was cracked up to be! Now is the time for the honesty. I always knew we would get married. When I imagined it, I imagined that it would be beside the sea. That a knot would be tied, our parents and our dearest friends would witness this old celtic traditional, the bonding of hearts. I knew that we would walk into our wedding ceremony together, hand in…View Full Post.
