Dromquinna Manor wedding ireland

“Because of her, there is no bridge between dreams and reality. In reality, because of her, drinking a glass of water has taste. In a dream, it doesn’t have taste, unless she’s in it with me. I do not have to dream about her, because all of my dreams about her, is my only reality.”
― Lionel Suggs

Joy and Simona chose the stunning Dromquinna Manor as the backdrop to their vows. The venue set the scene for a serious outpouring of love and emotions as family and friends came together to celebrate the vows of these two wonderful ladies.

From get go Simona and Joy wanted their wedding to be personal affair, they wanted their “ceremony and day to embrace all their guests and emotions” they certainly got their wish. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as nieces and nephew read a heartfelt letters of love from each of the families. After their intimate ceremony in the boat house, a golf cart fixed with mini rugby balls from a chuckling John Brennan, whisked Simona and Joy across the lawn and up to the Manor for a spectacular drinks reception overlooking the lake. Joy and Simona had wanted very one to come together and enjoy their day. Looking around the terrace that afternoon it was hard to tell new friends and old part. In the year that had lead to this day, both families had already become one. To Kate and Sean this is what weddings are all about. Not just the celebration of two souls coming together, but that of a new bond between family and friends that will forever surround them. A mist began to fall towards the end of the evening as it so often does by the lake, guests wandered inside to the warmth of the manors fires and cosy chairs. Kate and Sean chose this as the perfect time to pull the gorgeous pair away for a few portraits under the ancient old trees. What they had not expected was for John B to photobomb the girls on any given opportunity. Which had everyone in hysterics. It was apt way to end the day. For any one that knows Joy and Simona, knows that love and laughter is what it is all about.
