Dunraven Arms ~ Eilbhe and Jamie

This was one cracker of a wedding. We knew from word go that we would be the photographers and Eilbhe and Jamie didn’t have a choice in the matter. Eilbhe sister is a friend and  long time loyal follower of all things Poppiesandme. Lisa ignored gentle protests that Eilbhe may not want us as their photographers. Thankfully when met Eilbhe and Jamie who had flown over from the UK for the weekend we couldn’t help but fall in love with their enthusiasm for their day. It was a match made in heaven! What we adored about the pair was their view point on their wedding. While it would have of the traditional elements… as in Eilbhe would be in a dress and Jamie in his Kilt, there would be a church, they pretty much threw the book out when it came to everything else!!! This was going to be their party and boy was it. The morning in Eilbhes house was a glorious morning filled with laughter and the most amazing cake. Family filtered in and out and Eilbhes dad was busy cleaning the BBQ, you would have been forgiven for thinking there was a garden party happening later that day! It wasn’t just our couple who had the party feeling. There was much banter and giggles through out the ceremony. We were treated to a beautiful acoustic set from the couples good friends and the entire conjuration jumped and cheered so loudly they lifted the roof when the couple said their “I Dos.”  You wouldn’t hear the like at a munster match in our very own Thomond Park!  After a quick stop in a beautiful cornfield for some portraits we headed back to the Dunraven for an evening of games cocktails and laughter. The speeches were incredibly touching, tears were shed. Its beautiful to see two families join as one, not only accepting a new daughter or son in law, but indeed the entire family into the fold. After the speeches its was time to cut the cakes…… all of them… another reason we love Eilbhe and Jamie… there can never be enough cake!Irish Wedding Photographer
