Mary & Robert | Kilshane House | Tipperary | Ireland | Wedding

I still get a big goofy smile, when I think of Mary and Rob. You may remember them as our beautiful Dorset couple. That weekend adventure was one of the loveliest we had been on. I remind Sean ALL the time that I will retire to a hamlet in the rolling hills of Dorset. Its not a dream its reality! When I think of Sherborne, I still think Bridget Jones, pints of Ale, Pies and the four of us cozied up in a pub hidden in the hills, having awesome chats and crying with laughter! Alas, we were not to see our friends get married in the stunning Sherborne Abbey. Instead they took us to the Stunning Holy Cross Abbey in Tipperary and then to Kilshane House for one mighty hooley! It was such a wonderful day. Mary looked stunning in her Jenny Packham guna and Rob and his “many” ushers looked proper dapper in their colourful waistcoats! It was really hard to be serious and be official Poppiesandme photographers. Mary and Rob, have a very special place in our hearts and at one point I had to remind myself that we did have a job to do, this wasn’t a day to just be hanging out with our friends and enjoying ourselves! As you will see there is an awful lot of giddiness in the images that follow. I did try to be sensible, honest! In the end though I just joined in on the lols that were free flowing all day long!

We did set out with one mission though. We needed a field picture. Rob and Mary had seen Laura and Fergals wedding and loved the images of the couple strolling through the freshly cut corn field. Not a problem right? Shure, Ireland is covered in them. Indeed, we did scout a field, it was perfect! Fluffy clouds in a blissful blue sky, it was just blustery enough to catch the dress, the field had recently be cut and shone with gold. Sorted! High Five Poppies!!! Achem *coughs*,  at no point did either of us notice that the entrance point may have been a problem. Uh O! Rob stopped the car on the way back to the field, in true poppiesandme spirit he had spotted a bridge and thought it would be cool for quick shoot. At the same time catching a few sneaky guests out, who stopped for a swift one on the way back to Kilshane. Giggles insued again! Back into the car and off we go to the field. Then, we  just all stand there scratching our heads. Sean and myself feeling a bit daft for not spotting the obvious! Mary the super star she is, is like “right lets go! Give me a hand please” With a helping hand from Rob, the lovely lady Mary and her dress we gently lifted into the field!!! I did a little dance at the side of the road, I know saddo! I adore Mary any way, but love when our brides are like yup I want this shot no matter what!

Four happy campers arrived back to Kilshane to let the party get started. The funniest part of the whole day, I mean that reduced guests choking laughter was Robs speech. I had tears pouring down my face with laughter, I may have snorted once or twice but no one need to know that!! Rob is an old school gentleman, he knows proper romance, Mary is his world, he adores her. It would almost take your breath away when you glimpse how they look at each other. Seriously you’d just swoon if you ever met these two! Anyway, as you can imagine Robs speech and his words about Mary were intimate and beautiful. It brought a tear to everyones eyes, including those of his beautiful bride. Here in lies the problem. Our Rob, he can not see Mary cry. It invokes a rather unusual reaction. It makes him, well chuckle. The more the tears flowed from Mary with Robs words of love, the more Rob started to howl with laughter. I swear to god, some one needs to use this in the next British rom com! Even the staff couldn’t help but stop and giggle. Hands down it was one of the best speeches EVER!!!

Mary and Rob, we adore you both { not in a creepy way that, that just sounded!} We can not wait to come visit ye in June. I am actually counting down the hours!!! Much Love and Hugs always.
